We think that providing a simple list of our most requested hosting features is less confusing to the average customer who just wants to get their website up and running. Not to say that we don't provide other, more technical features as well - we certainly do have a lot more under the hood. We simply prefer to keep things simple, and the simple fact of the matter is that if you want it, chances are that we've got it. Cash Expense Reporting System for Major Real Estate Company (English / Japanese)
Developed a cash expense reporting system for the largest operator of golf courses in Japan, which allows local golf courses to submit their expenses
online to the central accounting system at the head office. Reported to be
running at over 160 golf courses across Japan.
Antique Japanese Sword Dealer Website (Japanese / English)
Bilingual front end and Japanese back end for a dealer in antique Japanese swords and fittings. Back end control panel allows management to add, edit, and delete
products in several categories, and includes a trash bin function that can restore "deleted" items. Items can be reordered and turned on or off independently on
both Japanese and English front-side pages. Built-in banner management system and per-page hit analysis. System automatically reports oversized images to save disk space.
Integrated blog and Facebook "Like" buttons. Took this from a site with several hundred static HTML pages to a streamlined, well-oiled, database-driven machine, and
were ecstatic to hear that
sales jumped 30% within the first few months.
Reservation System for Guest Accommodation Business (English)
Allows management to track and manage inquiries and registrations, and keep a history of repeat customers.
A vacancy indicator interface allows management to quickly determine vacancy across several facilities
so that
customer inquiries are dealt with quickly and accurately, enabling management to suggest alternatives if the first choice of accommodation is not available. Check-in date and time are synced with iCal for easy tracking. Automated check-out email reminds guests of the check-out procedure.
Website for MBA Coaching Business (English / Japanese)
Website development and database integration for a business involved in coaching Japanese candidates for overseas business schools. Took dozens of static html pages
and integrated them into an easy-to-manage databased structure.
The customer was so happy that he recommended us to two friends who run their own businesses, for whom we now develop websites as well. Word-of-mouth recommendations are true indicators of a job well done, and a source of pride for Circle Eight.
Mailing List for Music Event Website (Japanese)
Website hosting and development of mailing list system for the
largest electronic music festival in Japan.
Front end interface allows users to register, edit details, and remove themselves from the mailing list. Back end database allows event management to
tailor marketing communications to registered users.
Martial Arts Discussion Forum Site (English)
Development of a martial arts forum website from scratch to
now over 3,500 registered users.
Twitter integration allows users to send Tweets from within the forum interface.
Automated Tweet script picks random discussion topics and sends them to the site's official Twitter feed with links to the discussion thread in the forums.
